5 Places I Want to Vacation When I Lose My Holiday Weight
As I’m writing this blog, I’m envisioning this being a “note2self”. I know I’m not the only one that has put on a few pounds these last few weeks (and will probably add about 3 more during Christmas). It’s actually great self-awareness if you ask me. However, now is the time to create your vision board for early 2019 and set a reward for your hard effort to come! Keep that momentum going with these 5 dream destinations to visit!
If you feel like splurging here’s a (touristy) option for you. Tulum is the destination on everyone’s lips right now, and although the tourist boom has already started in this once entirely unspoilt beach town, there’s still so many beautiful and unique things to do. This place is blessed not only with great food, coastline and nightlife, but also with some truly historic sites that have pretty spectacular backdrops and stories behind them. The most iconic of all the Mayan ruins you can find in and around Tulum and the surrounding areas. History buff? This is place is an ideal tropical vacation for you!
Laguna Beach, California
Are you looking for a nature, yet beach adventure? Hidden within the suburban enclaves of Orange County is Laguna Beach, the center of the California Riviera and both a bohemian and an outdoor enthusiasts paradise. While most think of Laguna as a laid-back surfing town (partially true) locals know it also as the center of the free riding movement in mountain biking and is home to hundreds of miles of gorgeous hiking, running, etc. Not to mention the 12 square miles of protected marine reserve making for excellent snorkeling, diving, paddle boarding, and sea kayaking. Ideal for couples and groups!
Anywhere in Hawaii
Tired of tranquil beaches? A month or so after the holidays is big wave season on Oahu, and daredevils congregate around the North Shore to catch swells of up to 30 feet. This makes for great photo opportunities — during the month of February, you're likely to catch a glimpse of a majestic kohola, or humpback whale, making its annual migration. This scenic vacation would be worth every dollar!
Take a different route, book a cruise to The Bahamas. Whether you want to make this a family trip or a girls trip the Bahamas is paradise waiting to be explored. It also happens to be the number-one Caribbean destination wealthy travelers love the most.
Snowbirds tend to fall all throughout Florida during the winter months. That’s no surprise, especially in our city. I mean, Miami is a melting pot of culture, celebrating its diversity through food, art, and entertainment. Though just one city, it represents destinations all over the world, a trait that travelers discover the moment they step into Miami International Airport. The mix of languages may grab attention, but it’s the look of luxury that catches the eye. This is THE PERFECT PLACE after the holidays. Whether you’re on a low/high budget, there’s something going for everyone. You can make this trip super productive too! If you’re a girl boss make sure to bring your business bestie/besties to our 3rd annual Flourish Media Conference. Snag your ticket and learn how to grow your business during the day and then, play hard all night! Best of both worlds.
