Planting the Seeds of Impact: Meet Grant Winner Sabine Dieme-Erlich of Lights, Camera, Action For Change
Behind every small business lies a story of courage, vision, and community. For Sabine Dieme-Erlich, founder of Lights, Camera, Action For Change (LCAForChange), that story entered a powerful new season after receiving the $1,000 Flourish Media Small Business Grant during the 10th Anniversary Flourish Media Conference.
The grant, awarded during the February 20–21 event celebrating a decade of connecting women founders to capital, recognizes entrepreneurs who are building businesses that combine impact, creativity, and purpose.
We spoke with Sabine about how this recognition strengthened her vision, expanded her mindset around funding, and helped her move closer to the next stage of growth for her platform supporting creative youth.
HOW DID WINNING CHANGE THE WAY YOU SAW YOUR BUSINESS?
Winning the grant helped me see my business through a different lens.
It made me realize that my work is not only meaningful—it’s fundable and scalable, as long as I position it that way. That realization has shifted how I approach the future of my platform and the opportunities ahead.
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO APPLY OR ATTEND ONE OF OUR EVENTS CONNECTING WOMEN TO CAPITAL?
I believe deeply in the mission of my business and the impact it’s making among creative youth.
I attended the Flourish Media Conference to connect with like-minded women who are open to sharing resources and supporting one another’s purpose-driven work. Being in that kind of collaborative environment is incredibly valuable for founders who are building something meaningful.
Receiving the grant will directly support my platform by helping me secure the trademark for my business, which is a critical step for long-term growth.
Growth truly happens in collaboration.
HOW HAS WINNING THE FLOURISH MEDIA SMALL BUSINESS GRANT IMPROVED YOUR MINDSET AROUND APPLYING FOR OTHER OPPORTUNITIES?
Winning reinforced that my business is both impact-driven and investment-ready.
It challenged me to think beyond passion and begin focusing more intentionally on positioning, scalability, and building a sustainable model that can grow through strategic funding and partnerships.
That mindset shift has helped me see my business not only as a mission—but as an enterprise that can expand its reach and impact.
WHAT IS YOUR NEXT BIG MILESTONE WITHIN YOUR BUSINESS YOU HOPE TO ACCOMPLISH?
With the grant funds, I will complete payment toward trademarking my business, an important step in protecting the platform as it grows.
Within the next 60 days, I’ll also be hosting the 3rd Annual Lights, Camera, Action For Change Creative Summit in Miami. The event will bring together creatives, changemakers, and youth leaders who believe in the power of storytelling and media to drive impact.
I’m especially excited that the Flourish Media team will be joining the summit, which is a benefit connected to the Made for Millions Mastermind that I’m thrilled to participate in this season.
WHAT’S SOMETHING YOU’VE BEEN WORKING ON IN YOUR BUSINESS THAT YOU WANT THE WORLD TO KNOW?
One of the projects I’m most excited about is a new curriculum called Safe & Seen™.
The program is designed to support creative youth and will officially launch in Summer 2026. Following its release, the curriculum will be introduced to schools, universities, and creative institutions during the 2026–2027 school year.
My goal is to create spaces where young creatives feel supported, empowered, and truly seen.
HAVE YOU JOINED THE FMC PRIVATE FACEBOOK GROUP AND HOW ARE YOU USING IT?
Yes, I’ve joined the FMC private Facebook group and have used it as a platform to share and promote my Creative Summit.
Being part of the community has helped me connect with founders who understand the challenges and rewards of building purpose-driven businesses.
WHY SHOULD OTHER WOMEN BUSINESS OWNERS APPLY FOR THE FLOURISH MEDIA SMALL BUSINESS GRANT?
