Accountability Calls

Accountability Calls

Did you know that telling someone what you plan to do increases your chances of doing it by OVER 90%! That fact is a hack you can use to be more productive in your goals. Look around you and you will discover that brands who pride themselves on transforming behavior use accountability to do so.

Weight Watchers connects people who want to manage their weight with coaches, Beach Body Fitness promotes local trainers with online resources, AA promotes healthy living by asking it's participants to meet regularly and share their stories in intimate groups of people with a shared experiences.

You can hack this proven method with accountability calls. Vivian Olodun & Sasha Revolus did this half a decade ago with once per week calls each Sunday after which they jokingly call "A Single Girl's Guide to Life." Every Sunday they spoke for one hour about their goals for the week. The goals were never big. Small things each woman wanted to accomplish in the next 7 days. Each lady would have to stick to those (5) goals and the next week she would report on her progress. Years later neither woman is single and they built thriving projects separately and together.

HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED TO START USING ACCOUNTABILITY CALLS IN YOUR LIFE

  • Choose a buddy - share this process with a friend. If you can't think of someone to do this with, post on social media and ask for one. Let the internet send you a partner!

  • Set a time - we suggest once per week. Choose a day and time that you both can commit to.

  • Commit to (5) - you don't need to fix every issue in your life in seven days. Choose five small goals and tackle them. One week it might be using your Creast White stripes before bed. Next week, it could be saying I Love You to someone in your life. The following week it could be asking your boss for a raise or FINALLY hiring a virtual assistant.

That's it. That is all you need to get started. And you might be thinking I can't do one hour every week. That's okay as well, maybe you start with 5 minutes and work your way up. Also remember that you and your partner make the rules. If you can get through your (5) goals in 15 minutes, that's okay as well.

If you’d like to know more about setting intentions and accomplishing your goals with help from women who understand you, schedule a discovery call.
